Q: What material is used to make the Flower Framers™ flower box planters?
A: The flower box planters are made of highly durable fiberglass. The fiberglass allows the planters to be strong and sturdy to take the weight of soil, plants and watering, but still be very lightweight. They won’t rot and are backed with a lifetime guarantee.

Q: What colors are available?
A: Click here to see our selection.

Q: What are the dimensions of the flower box?
A: Flower Framers fiberglass planter comes in lengths from 2-20ft. and are 8.5" wide and 9" deep.

Q: How do I know which size to order?
A: To achieve the most complementary look for windows without shutters, measure across the bottom outside the frame. For windows with shutters, extend the measurement by 3” or 4” on each side to approximately the middle of the shutter. This method will help soften the look of your window. It’s better to have the flower box planter a little too big than too small.

Q: Does the flower box planter need to be removed and stored during the winter months?
A: No, not unless you prefer to store them. Our window planters are made of fiberglass, so they are able to withstand all fluctuations in temperatures. In fact, Flower Framers flower box planter is admired by gardeners everywhere for Four Season gardening.

Q: What is meant by Four Season gardening?
A: It means you can have a magnificent window planter all year-round! Gardeners love Flower Framers™ flower box planters because of their ability to create seasonal-themed plantings. In spring, bulbs bloom until it’s time to plant summer annuals. For a nice autumn look, mums, vines, gourds, dried flowers and Indian corn make a colorful display. And for the winter season, dwarf evergreens and white outdoor lights create an inviting glow during cold, long nights. Q: How does your unique built-in drainage system work?
A: Drainage has always been an inherent problem with traditional wood window boxes. Flower Framers™ has eliminated this problem by specially designing a concave bottom into the base of the box. This design helps to channel water to the sides of the box and out through the drain holes. Also included as part of the drainage system is a 1” plastic woven mat, wrapped with polyester fabric that facilitate clear-color drainage and air flow to roots.

Q: Is it necessary to place pebbles or broken clay pots in the bottom of the flower box planter for drainage?
A:  No. Our specially designed drainage mat replaces the need for other drainage materials. Simply put your dirt in directly on this mat and start planting!
